Mopar National in Columbus

Hey, did anyone go?

I went today and had a blast. Most of you probably don't know me, I am the guy who put a Ford 5 speed into my 65 Barracuda when I was in Hawaii. I moved to Dayton last year and decided to check out the Mopar scene today. Coming from a Ford man, I was impressed. I was seriously thinking of getting rid of the Barracuda because I already have two other vintage cars to play with. I'm glad I got my head straight before driving it to Columbus. I forgot my camera but it was an awesome experience. This years theme was the Barracuda/Cuda. I'm all burnt from the sun. the Raminator was there and crushed 4 non-Mopar cars. I saw a few $100K+ cars for sale. Anyway, I'm stoked into keeping my Mopar and doing more to it.

I was there Saturday and had a great time. I must have walked 5 miles by the afternoon, and I'm sure I didn't see all the cars. I spent several hours looking for parts, then headed over for some of the drag racing. Lots of cars for sale and a whole lot of project cars...well over 100.

The F.A.S.T. cars were the best part for me...it was like watching drag races 30 years ago. Got to see a GTX that was the same year and color as mine run 122mph @ 11+ secs against a black Road Runner...pretty cool!

I took a bunch of pictures and some video, and I'll post them later...I'll be there next year with my car, and stay for the weekend.

Yes and I also was there for Friday and Saturday for the 4th yr in a row. The weather was picture perfect compared to last yrs Nats which was so hot it was unbearable. Their were lots of fine machines there including mine . Did anyone happen to join in on the fun on Brice Road? It was a blast ,that is until the Reynoldsburgh police put up there little orange cones. If anyone in here was there they know what I am talking about..

I liked when the cops put their bikes in the road with their lights on and they just stood there in their velcro shoes waiting for everyone to leave.

The weather was great though, couldn't have asked for much better.
