Default 84 shelby

Hey all Just thought Id weigh in and say Hi to all the shelby owners. Mine is garaged awaiting me to put the trans back in after the motor rebuild. Its been in the garage a good 10 years. Has only about 80,000 miles. I have a new interior for it but the 1 in it now is Good. I did not get the Blue shelby seats with the new interior and am interested in finding some. The ones I have are pretty good but I am looking for better. Or a reupholstery shop to redo these. Any suggestions. Also looking for Speed parts for it. 2.2 HO carburated. Headers?

Hooker and Hedman makes headers. Got my lastset off of e bay new in the box. Mopar makes cams and so does Comp Cams. Lots of stuff if you know where to look for it. You can mill the heads .050 and the block .050 as well to get your compression up. You already have the best intake and head to use. Work on the exhuast side cause it's restricted and hurts performance. Dual pattern cams and exhuast porting really helps along with back cut valves too.

Thanks for the info. Since this is a fresh build (10 minutes, since they cut the crank seal and put in a stock seal in it puked on its first run up.) Ill stick with the stock cam. What is the best size exaust to run with a matching carb?

2" is plenty big for a carbed engine running a header. Just use a good free flowing muffler to go with it.

Default turbo

I bought a COMPLETE 2.2 turbo motor from a GTC? a few years newer. I got the exhaust to the wire harness with intentions of putting it into this car. But changed my mind about cutting holes in this body to put in the computer. I might do it later but am thinking about values.
