It doesn't look as though there are many Shelby fans here . I wish I had a Shelby inspired vehicle.

Thumbs up Shelby forum

SWEET!!! It is nice to see a shelby forum, I finally picked up my shelby. I just traded a Mopar 383 long block and a spare set of heads for a rust free 1988 Daytona Shelby Z with intercooler. The guy parted out some of the engine components, but I still have a the 2.2l and turbo, plus the 555 5spd trans to, plus he gave me 2 525 tranys. I am looking forward to fixing the car over winter and drive it next summer. Nice too see a few shelby supporters in this forum. I am looking for some parts to replace, if any one has an intercooler and distributor and other electronics.

It's good to see that even the early mopar fans are realiving that these cars have lots of potential. Almost every show I go to that has races at it the guys with the mullets laugh untill the 84 Charger beats the crap out of the 69.

I have an '88 Shelby Daytona that ran fine. Went to start next day and no go. There is no spark. Swapped coil...no start. Swapped SMEC...no start. Cranks well, good compression, just no fire.

It's an auto equipped turbo I car

hey nascar,
try replacing the crank sensor (or atleast make sure it is still plugged in) run into cranksensor problems on a regular basis at the shop. if that doesnt work, i would go to the cam sensor next. if that doesnt solve your problem it could be your computer. kinda hard to say but its a good starting point

I had a Shelby Dakota in 89 till it burned up. I also had a CSX before that. I will have another Shelby soon, Shelby just signed a deal with Ford to build Shelby Mustangs on the new body Mustang. I became a Dodge fan because of Shelby in the 80s, but I am a Shelby fan first, I will be buying a new Shelby even if it's a Ford. If Shelby has anything to do with it, it will be awsome.

Not sure which one of your cars it is but I have a pic of the one with the air filter hanging out the headlight bezel on my bulletin board at Northern Illinois University. People say its kind of weird looking but after I saw you take off tires screaming at belvidere I will always know how cool it is.
Also your bov scared the crap out of my mom.

Default re; CSX

Yes, the CSX was based on the Shadow. The 87 models were black, 88s were white, (they were actually CSX-Ts, for Thrifty Rent-a-Car, also were T-1), 98s were red and also were VNT cars.
They were also "numbered" cars.
I had one of each but sold them lately.
