Question
Has anybody ever heard of or seen a set of 915j 340 heads that used offset rockers on them stock from the factory. I found a set and can see where they redrilled the pushrod hole to take straight rockers. I was told they were used on the factory backed road race cars back in the early 70's. I figured if anyone has ever heard of this it would be someone on here.
Thanks Dave |

I think the factory 6 pack motors had them as in AAR cuda and TA challenger the ports were the same as other production but it allowed for porting out the push rod pinch.

Ya, that sounds like 1970 T/A heads. They used unique rockers, offset but less so than W2's.

I guess I can't say what the market is now, but if they are real T/A heads they have been known to go for a big chunk of change to guys looking to do a real restoration of one of those cars. I would do some research, but I can tell you I've seen bare T/A castings advertised for $1K.

Pretty sure the only smallblock heads with offset rockers were the T/A's. I wouldnt use em on a race car. Sell them to somebody doing a resto and get some EQ's. Just my $.02.
