Indy Cylinder Head stocks kits. I think Mancini is also assembling kits as well.

Mine is a custom setup for the street (barely) using a lot of Indy Cylinder Head componants with Wisco custom made pistons and Eagle Sir Rods.

I have about 200 miles on it. What a beast!! Hard to believe it's a little small block under the hood making all that ruckus...

Personally, I wanted to build and blueprint myself. It was a huge time investment requiring many mock assemblys, a ton of measurements, gobs of math and the additional purchase of precision tools for blueprinting. Even without blueprinting you will find yourself with many mock assemblys, it's not like rebuilding with components that have worked together prior to rebuild.

Crate shortblock is not a bad way to go either. A quick cut to the chase. I have read some posting here of folks unhappy with the quality of products from MP. If I were not into the building part of the project I would seriously consider this route.

M.P. short blocks are good bang for the buck, but suggest having the block gone threw by an reputable builder as they are know to be slapped together

I'm somewhat left with the impression some of the MP crate motors are not new castings and forgings. Block bore is 4.020 for a 360. That's .020 oversize.

Be interesting if anyone here knows the story. I know MP outsources the production of their crate motors. Is it possible the smallblocks may be just reconditioned boneyard shortblocks?

Cringe....

I did find a posting at the Mopar Nats site about their grand prize givaway of a MP 402 stroker small block. Big emphasis on "not a rebuild". I'm not sure what that says for the other MP crate motors?
