interior question
Whats the best way to remove the door panels without damaging them on a 71 B-body. I have to repair a window and I am getting a color change done to the car. Last question is how is the back window chrom trim held in place? I want to take it off for paint also without ruining it. Thanks!

The door panels are held on by clips attached to the panel that pop into holes in the door. You remove can them with something like a wide screwdriver or putty knife. The arm rest screws also have to be removed, as do the door and window handles. Some models also have another screw or two somewhere, so don't force it off.
The rear windows are held by clips that must be released with a special tool. The tool is unique to Mopars and can be found at many auto parts stores. Removing windshield and rear window trim can be a pain! |
