Default 2004 Dodge Neon info needed

I am thinking about buying a 2004 Dodge Neon 4 door 4 cyl. I dont know anything about these cars as i have never owned any or had to work on any. I also havent known of anyone who has owned them. I was wondering what it is worth and are their any problems or recalls on these years. I got very low money and dont want to invest in a lemon. But may get it if the price is right and they got a good history. Any info will be great. Thanks

I don't mind them. Haven't worked on a whole lot of them, but they are no worse than any other little modern car out there.

Biggrin

My wife had one for about a year. I replaced a rear wheel hub and rear struts. It also needed a gas tank filler tube because the old one rusted out. Gas tank straps too. One trait of Neons is bad solder joints in the instrument panel which caused the gauges to go crazy or drop out. Not a difficult repair.

The Neon we had was given to my wife by a relative. It had high miles at the time we received it but was a decent running car.
