Default Sliding Calipers

What kind of lubricant do you use on the ways of the slider calipers for disc brakes? Do you file the rough edges of the brake pads before installing them?

I clean the surfaces with a brass wire wheel to remove the crud and lube them with synthetic brake grease from Permatex. It comes in a single serving catsup type package and has a green color to it. It seems to work but it is hard to tell.

If you want a great synthetic grease try this stuff out,

I bought it for the poly bushings I have on my Camaro but once I discovered how good it was I use it for everything, works great for front end parts, wheel bearings, spark plug boots anywhere you use grease. Only bad part is it's about $9.00 for a regular grease cartridge.
