What to look for
Having trouble with my Mega Cab 4x4 with the hemi in and as soon as its fixed gonna trade it in for a 2500 4x4 with a diesel, preferably a automatic. I farmed for a living and know about tractor deisel , but pick up truck ones are different. Can anyone tell me what size , kind or type I need to ask for? The good and the bad.

umm if you want a Dodge with a cummins your choice is 5.9 or 6.7 which only comes in the 07.5 and newer. Anything older has the 5.9 and 03 to 07 is a common rail which in my opinion is the best. Not really sure what your asking.

If you know tractors, get the 89-98 VE and P pump trucks.
You may have seen that motor in loaders and what not, LOL. |

If you
Want the best pickup engine/trans combo on the road, get a new 2500 6.7L with the Aisin trans.

Yeah, perfect, a POS quiet rack prone to have issues electronic crapper that gets worse MPG than the VE and P pump motors. Plus you spend 40K for a plastic truck you cant work on.
Awesome. But if you want a new truck............. thats what you get. Pretty sad, the 6.7 has been pretty much been 8balled from the slope due to it's junk electronics and injection system. |
