Default How to Value Mopar Parts

This is my first post.....

I have a 69 Dodge Coronet R/T which I've had for over 20 years. When I bought the car it came with two hoods the original and a Six Pack Hood. I am interested in selling the '69 Six Pack Hood which was on the car when I bought it.

I have a prospective buyer, but I'm not sure of it's value. Is there somewhere to reference what these type of hoods are selling for. Not looking to overcharge or give it away either, just want a fair market value. Help with any references or links would be greatly appreciated.

Look on ebay for a similar hood. Original Muscle car exclusive parts bring top dollar especially if they are in good conditioin. Don't give it away. It could be quite valuable.

Now and then they show up on ebay. If it is a decent hood with no dents or rust, it ought to bring decent money. Anything with "Six Pack" on it makes people go crazy with their wallets.

Welcome aboard and ignore BillyBob.

Welcome aboard. I like the E-bay guess price. I myself would use it as a starter price and allow him a few bucks down from there.

Default What's a Fair Price Original vs New?

I searched on Ebay and all I could find was a Hood Kit and decals for a 69 Six Pack Hood, no actual hood. I also looked up on Year One and for a new 69 Dodge Coronet fiberglass Six Pack Hood the price is $799. The hood I have isn't brand new, but it's in good shape and is an original. What do you think is a fair price??

Put it this way,..."those hoods don't grow on tree's"!. Lots of the hoods warped and cracked, such as the T/A and AAR hoods. I seen a T/A hood on E-bay (mint),and the buy it now was $1,000 (don't recall if someone bought it!). If a repo is going for $799 why not throw a $1,000 or more feeler out there!. The other hood you have is rare also and they are going for big dollars!. What price did you have in mind?. I just paid $150 for a N.O.S.piece of brite trim for my car,and would have paid a lot more,so the way i look at it is,...you can get a repo any day,...but an original is getting harder to find every day!.
