Default suregrip query

hurt my sure grip past summer,. not sure of internal shafts, bearings ,..etc. markings on outer housing appear to be 657?, pinion shaft nut size takes a 1/8 th socket. any guesses as to spline?, what i need to repair?,.?thanks, oh yeah , 8/34 rear end

That is the same as the '741 center section.

As far as what broke, it could be any number of things. Until you remove the center section, it's anyones guess.

1 1/8" nut will be a 10-spline shaft.
