Default Edelbrock Intake, LD4B

Is the small block LD4B intake any good? Is it just the aluminum manifold that Edelbrock supplied to Chrysler for their hipo small blocks? Are they the same as regular Edelbrock castings of the era?

I found one and want to know what I'm spending money on, should I buy it.

LD4B, excellent intake for 273/318. Taller than the Performer and has larger runner volume. LD-340 was its big brother and those go like hotcakes. Very good design, wide operational range, surpassed by Performer-RPM. May be similar to Stealth in performance, but probably cheaper because it is older. Used on early 340 drag cars before Ld340 came out.

The LD4B is for 67 and later 318 and 273. The D4B is for the earlier 273.

I have one about to be bolted on a '77 318. It should work very well. A 340 AVS (Small) will be used along with headers and a split Crane, 272/824.
I don't know what the advertised operating RPM range is/was, but it's a street performing intake.
