My 6 is in a '69 Valiant 2 door that got burned when an old VW Bug sitting next to it sponateously caught fire. Driver side is now a sweet (LOL) primer gray. Lots of fire damage still there...no head liner and the like! But other than some nagging carb problems now the car wont quit.

I have 2 /6 cars. One is a 73 Duster with p/s and a/c and the fold down back seat. It is my cruiser now since I sold my Challenger ragtop. The other /6 car is a 73 Dart project.

Long Live the '73 Darts!!!!

I just gave my Dart Swinger, /6 of course, to my son as a wedding present.

It's all original from body through engine, tranny, chassis and wheels. Only normal replacement parts for a '73 that was stored (garaged) for ten years of it's life. except for driver-side rear window. It's the only glass not original when I bought it. Light switch was replaced when rain got in behind dash.

My son is going for ASE Cert. and hopes to sooner or later open his own resto shop -- even if it's only in his own garage.

He really has grown to respect the Mopar /6; so what better to start off a married life than an investment in Mopar?

Default What kind of car is my /6 in?

My /6 is in a 1967 Plymouth Valiant Signet sedan. I removed the soft interior due to excessive mildew. The body and floors and trunk are perfect. The /6 is knocking so it will be replaced with my 1951 331 early Hemi. Sorry it died, I've had two other /6's and could have sworn that they were immortal! My first one,(67 belvedere stationwagon), leaked 3 quarts a day! It never died on me or left me stranded. Second one ran after 10 years of silence,Forgotten in a grannies backyard.1973 Dart custom 2 dr.

Default / POWERED CARS

I HAVE A 65 SIGNET RAG(just purchased, now chasing out the bugs) & A 62 VALIANT SEDAN (driven daily for the past 2 years). Both cars are automatic , I'm planning to put the dual master cylinder on the rag & 10" brakes, then drive it til it drops.

Smile my slanter....

Hi all,

Just got myself my first slanter (225/3spd manual/3.23/'68 'A' body).

Had it for a week now and I've already started tinkering.

It's the white one in the link below.

Cheers
Dean

Mine's in a '66 Dart 270 2dr post. 3sp auto on the column, bored .060 over, Racer Brown cam, Offy 4bbl intake, Clifford headers.

Just moved from a 2 car garage to a house with no-car garage, so I'm waiting on that before I can get started again.

Default 17may2005... Purchased Today!!!

Just picked it up today, less than 24 hours after finding it on Craigslist in Los Angeles...
First caller... I nailed it...
1968 Dodge Dart 270 Hardtop Coupe. No joke; it was Granny's... Unfortunately she did not give up driving, before her eyesight was shot. Has sat for ten years under cover, in an airplane hangar in the San Fernando Valley
Original everything! Still has the warranty tag (paper) on the doorjamb.
Have been looking for years for the right one, at the right price. I'm stoked.
As I said; granny really liked to use the garage door as a guide to get in and out, so it will need new fenders, doors skins, and quarters.... later. No problem cruising in it now, though. Black over Red. sweeeeeeeeeeeet.......
Always wanted the V-8, but after hearing, and driving it, I seriously doubt that will occur. This car reminds me of "Dragnet"; where is Joe Friday. The most important on the to-do list is brakes & front suspension (tired). This is going to be a great trip. A lot of peeps wanted this one; hell, a guy in Detroit wanted to get, but was just minutes late. The seller really was cool in keeping me at the head of the pack; major props.
Gotta go... time for bed... might sleep in the damn thing tonight.

Default Alot of C-bodies had slant 6s

Ive got the original 200,000+ slant six(one valve adjustment) in my special order 69 furyI two door sedan, and let me tell you it will shoot gravel! I took my machinest (250 pounds) for a ride and he is still talking about how much pick up and torque it had! I did go from the factory 3:23s to 3:55s but thats it. The weak link is the manual three speed. I will be putting a four speed in soon. thanks Kim Kane

My slant six is currently residing in my 72 Demon, which is seen in my avatar. I plan on repainting as soon as I get home. Oh yeah this is my first post I've been reading some stuff on this site off and on for awhile decided to join.
