Smile What did NOT come with an SL6??

I (like most) have A-body SL6 cars (8 currently) but also have B&E Body ones, the coolest is our 70 Challenger RT convert will all the goodies, right down to the pistol grip 4 speed, no one "messes" with it when you're driving around town but little do they know, it's a SL6!

don't know iif it's a D series or not but it's a '63 short narrow 1/2t that has the industrial (yellow- 258(?)ci) motor &, granny 4 speed, truck was sold new in eastern Colo and originally had 16" tires & wheels and 3.88 rear gears. the only changes are paint, '70s Dodge 15" wheels and a 3.08 posi from an '80 Ramcharger to get it highway driveable. took it from central Mo to Snowmass Colo and returned via Cheyenne, Wyo in 1998.

I'm a happy slanter drivin a 65 Dart GT, 225 w/ Weber 32/36 progressive, GM HEI electronic ignition (thank you Goldduster) w/ Jacobs torquer coil, Kelsey-Hayes front disc brakes, front and rear sway bars and (thank you, God) factory air - all workin right and keepin me cool under the hood AND the collar (and a darn sight more comfortable in the bank account than the Mercedes 500SEL I was drivin for 5 years).

I've seen Slant C-bodies up into the late '70's. Kinda like trying to push a big rock up a hill, huh?

Just checking in, it's been a while. My 1962 Dart 2dr ht bought at 1000 in 85 sold for 4+ this spring. The slant six performed great with the 4bbl carter and offenhauser intake. Always do yourself a favour and get the carb tuned so you can put your foot in it from GO! Never could break that tranny and only occasionaly pushed wrong button. Still have lots of pictures and memories ( and two more 62 Darts not \6)

My /6 is in a 1970 Dodge Dart. It has 228,000+ on it and still going strong. I do have to admit that in the future it will give way to a 440.

Default Here's mine....

I just got a '67 Dodge Dart 270. 4 door. Body is straight, its a cream color. Got her for 100 bones. thats right 100 bucks and she runs. needed a ballast, and a distributor, and will soon be wearing a , thanks to Mjchael, an offy valve cover. someday will have a turbo and EFI, but need a garage for that.
I blew the muffler apart so it sounds like an old ford fairmont in the welfare parking lot, but so what. Its a sweet work car, and will in no way shape or form bring attention to itself from the cops. They probably think im an old lady.
The only bad thing, it has a ton of mold in the ducting and under the seats from sitting in the seattle rain all these years (im allergic to mold), but i will take care of Mr. Mold with scrubbing bubbles. And if it blows up or breaks beyond what the wallet allows, i can park it for the county to pick up. But if that happens, i will take the valve cover with me.
Square.
