you need a beret tube, there marked in cc's, you also need a piece of plex-e-glass with a small hole in the middle to get the water in.

I just bought a kit that has the tube/petcock at bottom, water squeeze bottle to fill tube back up fast, plex-e-glass plate.

Make sure you have grease on the valve/seats/plate to head and spark plug in so you don't lose water and get a false measurement.

You can shim up the shafts for the rockers and be fine only if the valev tip/rocker tips are centered, otherwise shorter push rods, but this something to address when you get to that point in order to know exactly what needs to be done.
really no big deal to fix and would cost $10-$80 in shims/pushrods which is well worth the added power.jmo

You basically want the angle formed by a line through the rocker shaft axis and the roller axis is at or very near 90 degrees to the valve stem when the valve is at the mid point in its travel toward full open position.

You can keep your stump puller, and not go through all the BS of replacing the heads, and get another 1500RPM in your power band simply by changing the cam.

What kind of piston do you have?

I would keep the heads on and up the cam, if it was me.

I was looking for a few more rpm as it drops out about 3500. But I'm not really interested if it means loosing the low to mid range tq. It is an ideal driver 60 mph @ 2000 rpm which is the speed limit here in NZ. I get 24 mpg normal driving, a heavy spring on the progessive linkage so I have to shove a bit harder to bring in the outer carbs. sort of looking at around the 5000 rpm.
Was looking at stepping up in the voodoo range but with the 1.6 rockers the lift would be too high with the 1.88 valves. As I have these 360 j's I thought of trying them but will lose a fair bit of CP and was sorta looking for a few clues from some of you whomay have tried it. I was considering shaving about 050 off the heads. what you reckon??
