Help Are theses rods GOOD?
OK this guy comes in my shop and sees my RR and freaks out.. He told my that he had a Gtx clone and i said cool. then he said hes gots some rods for sale for a 440 i said bring on over!!
The Rod saids BRC 60 and W&A 2014 i dont know alot about of these rods so im asking for some help By the way theres a pic!! All i want to know it are these for a 440 and are they any good thanks for looking |

Those are aluminum rods. Are they used? Aluminum rods have a certain life span, and buing unknown, used aluminum rods isn't actually the greatest idea there is. In the minimum you should have a machine shop check them for the low & up end sizes and the lengths. If you have a street car, aluminum rods is not a great idea because they need to be changed occasionally. That's why there are so many "good" rods on the market, someone has removed them out of their engines in time. You also need special or modified bearings with them, and so on. Like I said, I wouldn't get them.

i got theres a rods from a guy for a 150 for the whole set of 8

I agree with Dart. Ya gotta watch the alum used rods. If going to be street use car, forget it. Your better off with a set of LY factory rods.
