Default Tach wire - coil to tach

I have a 70 Roadrunner with a Tick Tock tack. The lead under the dash is tied off and the lead from the coil in the engine compartment..ends in the engine compartment. How does this lead get through the firewall? Wiring Diagram says it has it's own grommet but I don't see anything except the clutch safety switch on the driver side. This car had some restoration work done so I wonder if the opening was sealed up. Can anyone let me know where it passes through??

Are you sure that the Tic-Toc-Tac is original? Even with that instrument cluster, it was still an option. It could have had a blank, clock, tach, or tic-toc-tac.

Check out these pictures. Look to the right of the bulkhead connector, near the brake booster. That should be the tach lead.

Here is a link to a restored '70 Hemi RoadRunner that does not have the tach. It is missing the grommet and wire, pictured above.

Default Hmmm...

I bet you are right! I don't see a reference to it on the fender tag and I definately don't have that grommet hole. That's great info! Thank You.
