Dyno360 and Sanborn ?????
Did you guys to the races Sat. at Winchester ? How'd it go? I stayed in bed, not feeling too good that day. Feeling better today though. Gotta put the rad. in the car and make a couple other mods before it goes back to the dirt track. Sounds good, better idle, and more hp that's for sure. Here's a link below to some pics.

I didn't go. Still a little too cool for this old, thin bloodied geezer. But the fellows did(two months without racing gets them a little "Jumpy"). The track was slick, blowing dust before hot laps were over---got slower as the night went on. They didn't have any business being there with a Super Late. The Spec engines with that big 12" sideboards and spoiler was the only way to go. They didn't make the field. Put the car in the trailer and watched.

Did you guys go Sat. or Sun to the Duck?? I went Sun to test our little car. I'll cut and pste from the other thread for the details.
Pretty dry slick. The LM's were burning there tires. I could smell it in the air when they were running. And someone was using vanilla in there alky. Smelled sweet too. Our car did o.k. and then lost power for some reason. Did not catch it at first, but the coil cracked when he went back out on the track for the second round it died on the 1st lap down the front strech. Must have started a fire in the intake, cause it burnt a big spot through the lower spacer. This was a wood type, so now I have found the major flaw in using a wood spacer. THEY BURN !! LOL!! Back to the drawing board till next time. Sanborn, any suggestions on that problem ?? May need to get you to whittle out an aluminum one for us. |
