Default what up on stock 255/65/15's for dakota sport?

I just had hell tryin to get 2 of them and I finally did. Them mofo's retail for around 150 or something like that from what i've heard. I'm talkin about the Goodyear Eagle LS's on the Sports. I was told they are on national backorder. I paid 120 a piece cause I wanted to keep my stock size up front. You guys know anything about it?

I know guys that have had 275/60/15 installed to replace the stock size, it's a much more common tire and is easy to get in different brands, it's a tiny bit smaller in dia. but not enough to throw off you speedometer enough to worry about, and it looks better too. I think Goodyear conspires with the auto companys so they are the only company that makes the size tire that comes on some vehicles, I had the same problem back in 1992 with my Camaro, Goodyear was the only company making 235/55/16 size tires that came on the car, but a few years later lots of companys had started making them.

Chrysler is the only manufacturer to use the LS in that size. They are factory installed only on the Dakota with handling package and on the LHS. I really liked the tire, but when it came time to replace them, I went into sticker shock!

I ended up with P235/70s in the GTII series, which are the same diameter, but slightly narrower. They seem to have better wear, but are noisy compared to the LS. The best part is they were less than half the price, and handle as well as the LS.
