Default slick expansion

I was wondering how much ET Slicks expand cause i'm interested in buying the largest slicks to fit under my Road Runner. Anybody?

Yes it will grow.

Call the manufacturer they will have all this data for ya and pretty much have it exacted out.

hello, the width of the rim will determine tire growth. If you use a narrow rim, tire will grow. a wider rim will not let tires grow. just a thought,

All slicks will grow. A slick on a rim too narrow will grow more. Again all the manufacturers have all this stuff in their data base. Just call them and give all the info they will give you the amount. They may give you the maximum amount which would be the number you are looking for.

Side note, putting wide tires on a narrow rim is a waste of money and too much added weight. You will get less contact patch than putting the smaller slicks on it.

well i did call and found out yes it does grow depending on size.i asked about a 31/16.50-15 and said it would grow 1.5 inches/ 3/4 inches on each side at 10lbs o air(which all slicks are measured) and that is at the center of the tire

thanks for your help

Note: All slicks should be mounted on rims that are plus or minus one inch difference from the tires width. 10 inch slick could use a 9,10,or 11 inch wide wheel only. If the rim is too narrow the otter edges of the slick will roll and lift and will wear the outer egdes in a rounded off shape. So make sure you use the proper width rim on your slicks.
