As most of you fans of the old Mopar flathead 6's and 8's know, speed equipment for these is sparse at best , and non existant for the most part. Other then the Offenhauser aluminum head for the 213-230 small block flathead Mopar six, I don't know of nothing much else.I doubt if much of anything was ever made for the straight 8 either. Has anyone else have any information at all on these parts? I know most restorers won't have much interest, but a hop up part is definetly better then no part at all. And it is probably in our best interests as Mopar flathead fans to gather as much info as possible, All replies much appreciated, thanks!

Phillps Performance 360-652-3595 has an alum. hemi head, cams, dual intake manifolds and headers for 217-230 blocks.

How about explaining a little more about this Hemi head. Are you talking about converting to overhead valves or a modification of the combustion chamber shape on an existing flat head. I can't visualize the latter, and the former sounds like a huge expense for questionable performance gains!

Ita a new alum. head that replaces the stock head. The combustion chambers are hemi shaped for improved flow for use with his dual intakes and headers.
