Dana diff widths.
hi all, i have a Dana 60 with #603222-1 stamped on the right axle tube. my research tells me it's from a 70-72 B body. will this fit in a 70 E body? if not does anyone know the difference in width dimensions of these two? i went to the diff/axle thread but that info seems to be gone. thanks to anyone who can help me..............djs

#603222-1 is a '71-'72 B-body Dana with 3.54 gears, the '70 is different. The '71-'72 spring perches are 47.3" apart, E-body is 46" so it's not a bolt in without relocating the perchs or springs.
The overall drum-to-drum width of the '71-'72 B-body Dana is 63", the E-body is 61 5/8". |

And for the record. John. You have the most Mopar trivia information I have ever seen. Did you work for Chrysler in the muscle car era? I have multiple Mopars but dont come close to component and number knowledge to have. |

I used to narrow rear ends and re-spline axles so I needed correct info. |
