In high school I had a 74 duster 225, 3spd ,7 1/4 and clifford split headers, in 77 when I got out, I added a sig erson 288dur.500 lift. cam, offy 4bbl intake, 600DP Holley, windage tray, 4.10s with G60s and F70s on american racing alum slots. This car ran great for it's time. Made alot of GM and BLUE OVAL boys hang their heads in many 1/8 mile country races. BURNOUT? NO PROBLEM! If I wanted to. But that was 30 years ago. Still have engine, put it in a 74 dart sport, built a 904 with Dynamic 10 in 3000 stall so my girl friend could bracket race it ,has a 8 1/4 with 3.91s runs good but with motor combo Dynamic says needs 8 in conveter. Nothing like side stepping the clutch to get her into the power band!

Default Water helps

When I was 16 I had a /6 73 Dart 4 door I ran the windshield washer pump lines down to the the front of the rear tires in the fenderwell. Whenever I wanted to smokem' just hit the windshield washer switch and a little powerbrake.

BTW reving it to 6,000 in neutral and slapping it down into gear snaps the low reverse bad in a 904. never did break the 7 1/4

yes you can, but you need a little help (powerbrake, puddle,in mid turn, etc.) and your slant needs to be in good running condition!

I also used the washer bottle trick, only I used brake fluid. Made for some pretty impressive looking burn-outs!!

My pickup had a /6 with a 3 on the tree, later a truck 4 spd. and it would burn em real good till they warmed up enough to get bite, then it would hop real bad breaking clutches one after another. Those springs would pop out like pop corn. lol
