rolleyes Squeaky steering wheel (Some times)

Well kinda weird, my steering wheel has been kinda squeaky when I first head out, its only the first couple of turns out of my driveway and then its gone...hmm Let me know, I sure don't Also, any one in SD county want to come and show me the rope in my engine? I haven't touched my engine in a year and a half since it was sold, well I put in a new regulator a couple weekends ago but I need a refresher. I live in Escondido, Ca...I will make you dinner and buy you a 6 pack if you drink..feel free to bring spouse/kids/dogs, we have a big yard and don't mind the extra bodies around. Sundays are great for me! tkreptile@hotmail.com

Thanks!!
Krystle

Have you checked the steering fluid level? it may be low and make the pump squeak when the fluid is cold. Drive the car for a while and then check the fluid level, if it's low, fill it up to the "hot" mark in the little dipstick of the steering pump cap.

Forgot to tell ya, check belt tension too. If the belt is loose, it may cause the pulley to squeak, specially in cold humid weather.
Good luck.

Biggrin

Is the squeak coming from the steering column or under the hood?
