Question 64 dart fuel pump

WAs going to replace fuel pump, went to autozone and bought new one, go home and looked at new compared to old and the fitting are reversed, the threaded one on the old is on right side going to carb the new one has it on the left. Haven't checked out which side is pressure and what side is vacuum. Anyone else ever had this problem ?

Yep most later model pumps are that way. You need an early pump or an aftermarket pump you can put your own fittings and line into.
