Default Camshaft for a Turbo 225

I am currently installing a Garrett Tb0335 (2.2/2.5 L ) turbo onto a stock 225 in a 1970 Duster. I would like to upgrade to a performance cam. Any recommendations? I know I will need a cam with little valve overlap but am unsure what would give me the best bang for the buck.

This is what I have done so far:

Offenhauser 4 BBL Intake.
I have a variety of carbs 390 CFM Busch Series Holley, 500 Edelbrock, 625 Edelbrocks, 600 Hollet vaccuum. I will see what works best .

Upgrading to electronic ignition.

This will be a blow through system and I may intercool it.

Any idea how much horsepower I can expect to make with this setup? I am hoping 175 -200 and would like to get into the 15's with it?

Cheers,

That is a fairly small turbo, so you aren't going to go very high in rpm. A stock cam won't be bad at all. If you are intent on getting something custom, you could just get on ground with the intake and exhaust lobes switched, if it is split to the exhaust like most Mopar stuff. You don't want to use anything with vacuum secondaries for a blow through, so your carb choice is going to be limited.

Thank you turbododge.

Yes I am just going to be running low rpm (4000) and am building for power and economy. At least for now! The engine is not a fresh rebuild but only has 55 K on it. I will likely be running the 390 cfm mechanical secondary carb which has been modified. I have a list of recommended changes from Garrett.

Any other suggestions. Concerns?

Got to the slant only website. I am a remedial slant guy. You need to talk to Charlie_S he has been racing turbos for a long time. All home brewed.

www.slantsix.org , also on www.allpar.com a guy has done it for under $500
