Exclamation 78 volare choke linkage..help!!

hi...i have a 78 volare with the 225 slant six...the carb is the 1bbl holley and the car is running rough and stalling when i slow to stop..i went over the whole electrical system only to find that it was the choke linkage..there is three rods coming out th back of the carb that move the butterfly.the middle rod i think is broke because it is just hanging there..i temp. wired the rod up to make the engine run smooth but i need to know where it connects..if anyone has a pic or a diagram i would be ever grateful because i am stumped..i dont know if its broken or if im missing something that holds it..thanks....bill
