Nice car!

We only ever got 4-door sedans here... until 1968.

Thanks, she is a peach. I can't wait till spring to take her out for a spin with the top down. I am in the middle of super sixing the engine. Also I need to install new leaf springs.

The /6 is an easy engine to work on. I've had 3 myself and the second one was my project car in the early 70's when I was taking auto shop classes for my hobby improvement. I even got to bore one cylinder myself.

On another note, that engine is perfect for cooking while traveling :-) No lie. Just take a roast, add seasoning, potatoes, onions, etc.. Wrap it in a bunch of foil and tie it to the intake manifold. Then drive for about 150 miles and enjoy a meal at the end of your trip. Honest it works !

Rich, a bloke who used to race here like baked beans...

He'd tie a can of baked beans on the exhaust manifold of one of the side valve Ford V8s in his race car (yeah, that's right, it had two of them!) and at the end of the race he'd have a hot lunch.

Later he created a little box in the engine bay and ran heater lines to it. The box was a heat exchanger, with the hot water running through tubes in the walls to heat up his family's meals when they went out for the day.

Hey, are you looking just for a 440 RB? I might be able to get the name of a guy that got me a big block but he's here in Ohio and I believe you are in Missouri.
