Help New Slant6 Member Here

I have a 1980 Dodge D-150 truck, I need help with pictures on how to install engine back. This what happened, I hired a mechanic, but he got sick I now have to install and put back all the parts back. The only thing I am doing is installing stuff like fuel pump, timming chain is already in place..but need timing info. I also need to install exhaust manifold with proper torqe info which I don't have. If any body out there can help with a close up picture of engine it would help alot. I need a good close up shot of the right side where starter is located. I have heard that the manifold install is of great importance especially the brass washers can someone help. I currently have the engine out and on a cherry picker. The following is in place only: timing chain and cover, valve cover, oil pan and water pump and fuel pump. Missing is oil pump, exhaust manifold, starter, coil, alternator, carb, I really would like to do it my self it would mean alot..I am very mechanical incline but didn't know I would be put into this situation..I am excited to start. You see in November 2010 I want to display it at a veterans day car show..all proceeds go to veterans. Thanks all.

Ahh, trokita, you've got my sympathy! Nothing worse than reassembling what someone else has taken apart! You need to get a proper manual to help with torque specs, either Motors or something similar. In the case of the oil pump, just buy a new one, the rest of the parts you list I'd hit the local junkyards and see what they have.
Good luck!

Stoga,
I have all the parts just need help with a picture to where they all go. I also have the specs. I need a picture of the inside under the hood od a slant six. A right and left shoot of the engine would help, also a top part.

Thanks, Rich any thing right now helps. I really appreciate this..been busy trying to get vacuum line diagram/and electrical diagram for my 1980 dodge D150 slant six. I will keep in touch and send you a picture once all is completed. My friend and I just slapped in the engine ...it will be a miracle once a key is inserted and it cranks over.
