Hi! My first post (Question) I have a 1987 D100 with a slant six. I want to know why there is three lines on the fuel filter? I thought that any return line to the tank would come off of the carb.

I didn't know Dodge used these. Some of us have added them, I did on my 67 Dart. Examples are Wix 33040 (5/16) and 33041 (3/8) both of which have a 1/4" return port with built in orifice.
!!!HUH!!! Sure enough, NAPA shows a 23054 it has a "90" degree return http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...054_0325435799 These systems WORK. First one I ever saw was on my 70 RR 440 sixpack. |

The small line is a vapor return line to the tank. This tends to help prevent vapor lock.

That filter was used a lot on late model and A/C applications.
