I want to build a turbocharged, propane fueled slant six. I'm looking for info on timing curves, how much boost is OK to run (assuming properly finished surfaces, 8.5 or so compression ratio, good gaskets), how hot the exhaust can be allowed to run, and if I need forged pistons to stand teh strain.
This is going in a pickup - a crew cab 65 PW, which will tow a trailer regularly... It's not going to be a racer. If it turns out to run well, I might build a 318 twin-turbo to replace the /6 and put the six in something light - like a dart or duster. In the meantime, I'd appreciate any good info you might have... and please keep in mind, I'm a student, not possessed with wealth... <sigh> Thanks! |

Go to www.slantsix.com and www.omnipages.com/sl6 . They are discussing turbos, fuel injection, and many other /6 performance ideas.
