MY slant 6 is in a nostalgia dragster (under construction) I built the engine about 15 years ago. It is .140 oversize (244 cu in) with ported head and 1.84 int 1.5 exhaust valves) cam is an SSH25 Racer Brown. It will be upgraded to a more radical one once it is running. I am building this car to try 6 Tillotson carbs (HD series ) on a homebrew manifold. It has been a dream to try this for 30 years. Now I finally have time.

'80 Volare Duster (M body) coupe. (My son thinks it's his, but my name's on the title and I'm the turkey who got busted knuckles restoring it.)

Mostly stock 225, 3-speed with floor shifter.

I'd post a picture if I knew how.

I'd love to see a picture of what you have going. I have long thought about doing the same thing (nostalgia slant six dragster). I have run slant sixes in a '70 Duster, a '62 Dodge Panel, a '62 Dart, the '80 Volare Duster mentioned in the previous posting, and even in a houseboat, so I have a little familiarity with the engines. As we speak, I have an early 225 and a 170 out in the barn weighing heavily on my conscience.

I have lots of plans and ideas, but I also have lots of half finished projects which are the loudest barking dogs at the moment.

Jim,
I have some pics on my bravenet website, I also have a short video of the engines first firing. (10 seconds 2.5 MB) After a few false starts i got it running . Took a bit to figure these all position carbs out but it even idled without any adjustment. There is a big movement in Nostalgia stuff. Like the HAMB movement which is a bit restrictive or there is a group in Oklahoma with a little free-er set of rules. I chose my own route. I call it my senoir dragster
http://seniordragster.bravehost.com . I am working on the photos from page one at the moment but I might have them back up by the time you read this. If you want the video I will send it as atttachment. I really enjoy working on this little project. it is very relaxing

My 'Slant-Six' is in my 1960 Plymouth Savoy, bought brand new by my Dad on June 13, 1960. I'd show you photos of it, or put in a 'Link' to my Website, but I have to post another 23 times before I can do that. If you want though, you can get to my Website by typing in benscarpage.com in the Address Bar on your Browser Window, hit enter, and then you can see my Plymouth, and it's 'Slant-Six.'

You don't need any number of posts, Ben, you just need to use image codes:

I tried that, having used them on other Forums, but this one wouldn't let me post the Links until I hit 25 Posts (see message to follow).
