Exclamation stolen Jeep cherokee

i don't have too much info yet but I found out tonight my buddy had his cherokee stolen within the last day or 2 from Meadville PA

I'll update asap but what I do know:

it is about a 2000
black with factory tint
factory fogs
automatic trans with select trac
steel wheels with factory chrome overlays
pa plate that ends in 36
hitch with drop rec.
tools/ radio station equipment inside
roofrack with both bars pushed back and together
mileage in the low 80k

email me directly at subeman@aol.com(no spam) and put in the subject ** jeep cherokee

Vehicle could be anywhere in the pgh, eastern ohio region and southern NY area. or realistically anywhere...

Any info is greatly apperciated and will be updated accordingly.

Thanks folks if you find the people that did this you can feel free to... or

Matt

A long overdue update....

The jeep was found just before the ins.co paid my buddy off. The thing that sucks is that it was found north of lansing MI. It was left in a ditch along the road. The radio was gone but for the most part everything that was inside of it was still there. It had some scratches on it and the exhaust was badly damaged and the hoodlums managed to mess up the ignition so it would always beep like a key was in it and the door was open.

Needless to say my friend was very unhappy but he was relieved to know it was found.

Here is the kicker of it all....the ins. company had it in one of their impound lots in MI and they told him to go out and get it (7.5 hrs away) well he didn't have the time to go out and do it so they told him to hire someone to do it for him. So he did....He got it flatbeded back to Meadville PA to the tune of $1400...but yet the ins. company told him to hire someone right???

After he got it back he took it to the dealer and had them look at it and fix the damage on it... and the ins. company didn't want to pay that bill either but they did after some calls from his lawyer...

oh well atleast he got it back right????

Default Fly by night Insurance

In my past when I drove a Tow Truck for a living I learned alot about insurance. Full coverage vehicles when recovered are to be dealt with by an insurance adjuster. That is what you pay for. That way if it is a total they will deal with it from there to save themselves money from a vehicle sitting in storage, at $20+ a day. If you have it towed home to sit and leak in your driveway no extra charges for storage and they will let it sit for months till you get tired of it leaking and taking up space. And settle for less. In other words if you have the coverage and such let them put it in storage after you empty it out.
