I was coming back from Seattle International Raceway in my 74 Charger and had a couple of guys in a Cheby II pull up to me at a light. This Charger was a daily driver beater I had picked up for $150. After replacing the smashed in windows, I jacked it up with a set of L60's on the back and skinnys up front - looking mean. It had the original and worn 225 in it with a weak tranny and no reverse.
Of course, everyone was hot to go coming from the drags, so I accepted their offer to race......with one modification..... DEMO DERBY STYLE! Of course, being weak knee'd Cheby guys, they declined. I chalk that one up as a win. I would have won anyway. |
