the fast and the furious III
we'll it was a beutiful day today in florida. i decided to drive the duster to work. we have a kid there that has a 96 eclipse gsx (awd) he has had a bigger turbo, kevlar clutch,$700 3" mandrel bent exhaust,17" wheels, big blow of valve, boost control,ect,ect. on the way out to lunch today he decides to run his mouth. so told him to put up or shut up. now there was three other guys standing there and one was his brother(there was no backing down). actualy i was alittle worried, i had my regular radials on the car(275-60-15) well we line up and launch he gets a length on me but it only lasts for about a second, i blow past him smoking the tires. after we get back from lunch he tells me it runs 14.50's so sad with all that $ invested and to get spanked that hard.

HELL YEAH!
I HATE THE 2.0L TURBO MITSU AND ANYTHING ATTACHED TO IT!
THAT IS SAD THOUGH, I KNOW KIDS WITH EARLY 90'S ECLIPSE'S AND EAGLE TALON'S THAT RUN LOW 13'S WITH VERY FEW MODS AND THE STOCK TURBO. THIS GUY SPENT A LOT OF MONEY TO ONLY RUN A 14.5? THAT SUCKS FOR HIM! A THREE INCH EXHAUST IS WAY TO MUCH BREATHING ROOM FOR THAT LITTLE MOTOR. I BET IT WOULD RUN BETTER WITH A 2.5 INCH EXHAUST AND BETTER FUEL DELIVERY. HE PROBABLY KEPT THE STOCK INJECTORS HUH? I BET IT STARVES WITH THAT BIGGER TURBO ALL ACROSS THE BAND, REGARDLESS OF INJECTOR PULSE WIDTH. GOOD KILL THOUGH MAN. MY OLD MAN WILL LOVE TO HEAR IT, HE HATES MITSU SH_T ALSO. |

HEY, WHAT DOES YOUR MOPAR RUN THE 1/4 IN.
JUST CURIOUS, WITH THAT NITROUS SHOT I BET IT'S HIGH 10'S, LOW 11'S ? EVEN FASTER? DO YOU HAVE TRACTION PROBLEMS WITH THAT LIGHT DUSTER? WE HAD A 70 DEMON 340, IT WOULD BREAK TRACTION IF YOU BREATHED ON THE GO PEDAL! |

your the one with the 12 second daytona? killer car. the duster runs consitantly in the mid 11's on the motor w/slicks i use 28x10.50 m/t's i dont really want to say what she turns with the nos, some of the local street racers know i post on this board. lets just say she's quite abit faster. traction realy depends on the surface, the bfg radials are toast no matter what. |

MID 11'S ARE FAST FOR A 360 ALL MOTOR! SHE PROBABLY COMES UNGLUED WHEN YA HIT THE HAPPY SWITCH!
MY OLD MAN OWNS A SPEED/PERFORMANCE SHOP BACK HOME, HE HOOKED ME UP WHEN I STARTED MY DAYTONA A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. I WANT TO GET IT INTO THE 11'S WITHOUT INTERCOOLING OR NITROUS. IT'S BEEN A LOSING BATTLE MY FRIEND. SEE, EVERYONE SHUNS THE OLD TURBO1 WITH THE SUCK THROUGH SET UP. SO, I AM BUILDING IT THAT WAY TO BE DIFFERENT. I WANT TO DO SOMETHING NO ONE HAS DONE, TO BE ORIGINAL. RIGHT NOW I'M RUNNING AN 87 T2 BLOCK (BALANCED & BLUEPRINTED) WITH FORGED RODS AND CRANK WITH FULL FLOATING PINS. THE BLOCK IS 100% STOCK. STOCK BORE AND ALL. ACTUALLY, I AM RUNNING THE MOPAR PERFORMANCE TRI-METAL ROD BEARINGS, THAT'S IT. THE CYLINDER HEAD IS THE 86 T1 TYPE, HIGH SWIRL COMBUSTION. IT'S PORTED AND POLISHED WITH 41.6mm INTAKE VALVES AND 36.15mm EXHAUST. AS FOR A CAM, I RUN THE MOPAR PERFORMANCE 240-240-40 DEG/460 VALVE LIFT/100DEG CENTERLINE. ALONG WITH THE HIGH RPM LASH ADJUSTERS. AS FOR FUEL, I RUN THE MOPAR PERFORMANCE 803 HIGH FLOWS, A .63 A/R RATIO GARRETT TURBO AND AN ADJUSTABLE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR THROUGH A STOCK DIAMETER EXHAUST WITH A GUTTED CAT AND NO MUFFLER, JUST A RESONATOR AT THE BACK BUMPER. I RUN AN 86 DISTRIBUTOR, WIRE HARNESS, AND MOPAR PERFORMANCE COMPUTER. THE TIMING HAS BEEN BUMPED TO 15 DEG BTDC. THE TRANS IS A STOCK A413 AS FOR THE CLUTCHES, FRICTIONS, AND PLANETARYS ETC. BUT I RUN A 3,500RPM STALL AND A MOPAR PERFORMANCE FULL MANUAL VALVE BODY THROUGH A 1.22 TRANSFER GEAR SET TO A 3.05 DRIVE GEAR. THE FINAL DRIVE RATIO IS 3.73 OVERALL. I ALSO HAVE A MAKESHIFT COLD AIR INDUCTION AND A FOWARD MOTION 46MM THROTTLE BODY. THAT'S ABOUT ALL I HAVE DONE TO THE MOTOR, SHE RUN'S CONSISTENT HIGH 12'S ON 93 OCTANE WITH NO DETONATION! I ALSO HAVE SHAVED OFF ABOUT 200 LBS IN MISC. BODY AND INTERIOR PARTS. SHE'S QUICK BUT STILL NOT UP THERE WITH THE MID 11 SEC TURBO2 CARS. GOT ANY IDEAS? I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO NEXT TO LOWER MY ET. I RUN ABOUT 15-16PSI ON A NICE 70 DEGREE DAY. THAT'S ABOUT ALL THAT TURBO CAN MUSTER THE WAY I HAVE IT SET UP RIGHT NOW. |

WELL........
IT'S A NEAT LOOKING CAR, BUT IT'S JUST AN ECLIPSE. IT WAS THE SAME WAY WITH THE AVENGER AND SEBRING COUPE.
ALTHOUGH I WILL SAY, THIS NEW 3.0L HAS A LOT MORE BALLS THAN THE 2.5L V-6 THAT WAS IN THE AVENGER. IT'S STILL DSM BUILT THOUGH, PISS ON IT. |
