Default took a ricer owner for a ride in the duster

hehehe i love it when there white knuckled beggin ya to back out of it. i put a new crane hi-6 ignition box on the duster monday nite. one of the guys buddies was there raggin on how my car was old iron and out dated. we fired the duster up and i asked if he wanted a ride, he said yes, first run was easy, car need more timing, second run, car felt strong, thekid made mention that it was the quickest ride he ever had. on the way back i laid into it hard and sprayed with a 150 shot(around the top of first) after we were in third at about 5500rpm (i figured around 120ish) the front end started to "float" some. the kid is leaving finger nail marks in the doorpanel and begging me to stop!! I LOVE it. when we stopped back at the shop the car wasent even stopped before he bailed out and headed to the can. next day his buddy told me that he(white knuckled rider) was gonna sell his acura and buy a mopar. what fun that was.

Default i'd say...

i'd say it was the noise that scared him. he couldn't hear a high-pitched whine so it sounded like something was wrong with the engine.

Duster360, that is a funny story. I had a similar thing happen to me at work with a bowtie boy that told me he had a 160mph Camaro. I gave him a white knuckle ride in the Duster, and when we got back everyone was waiting outside the office. The kid stepped outside my car, took a couple of steps, and fell down. Needless to say he took quite a ribbing and he never again mentioned that his Camaro did 160mph.

Thumbs up HeeHee!

My favorite car was a 1970 Duster 340 in PURPLE that my mom bought for my college graduation present. I know how fast that car was with just a few well placed mods. As fast as that 340 was, it would be slow compared to yours. I'd like to go for a ride with you someday. Yee-Ha!
