Red face Late night Chevelle

I'm coming home from the track about 0130 and I pull up behind this Chevelle that's in the right turn lane. I'm doing about 45 and he's doing 25, I think he was waiting for me.
I get up behind him and he's going slower, like trying to irritate me, as if his goofy gauge cluster on his A pillar wasn't irritating enough.
Anyway, we turn right and he gets on it like he's gonna dust me, but I let him get about 5 car lengths and I go by him in short order, much to his amazement! Those flowmasters are pretty loud at 130 in the morning and only 2 cars on the road

One 1970 Chevelle bites the dust, I was hoping for a better race!

Default A decent race.... From a chevy......

AINT gonna happen.

Nitromethane Mountian mill is to MOPAR as tin wind up toy is to chevy .

Still a nice kill gotta put the toys where they belong(on the shelf). Especially when the owner thinks his "toy" is better than the real thing .

I just wish chevy would have used the name Mirage instead of Mitsu. So that when I say look that isnt a real car it 's a Mirage i would not be making fun of a relative... oh welll

Default Thanks!

Yea, he was pretty surprized when I went around him from way back, I'm guessing it took about 250ft or so. After that there was a couple of lights but he didn't want any more.
There was a guy at the track with the most beautiful 1970 Sports Sattelite that I had ever seen. He was kind of arrogant though(not that I'm not!), but he had everything built for him, he was running a 440sr Indy maxx ported engine with 3.73 gears and full interior.
I asked what time he was running and he said 12.75, so I'm looking at his drag radials and I said "it probably is spinning alot"
he says,no, I hook up great and I'm thinking something is wrong since he has a 3600 Continental converter, he should be annhilating those tires. Then he goes on to say he had Edelbrocks before and they were sh*t. Then I know he doesn't know what's going on!
Anyway he was very smug and he asked me what my car ran and I said about the same, so he say's yeah, but I drive mine to the track, so I tell him so do I and mine has 3.23 gears and 906 stock valve heads, and he get's this look like all pissed off and confused!
So we go over to my ugly RRunner and he sees my Micky Thompson sportsman pros and say's those are SH*T! they don't work, and I say with 3.23's they do.
So we run together and I take him with a 12.54 to his 12.70.
Sorry for the long post but rich dicks piss me off. He was asking his mechanic alot of questions after that and the mechanic comes over to me and says"why is your car so fast?" I said it isn't the car, it's the mechanic!

I like that line. I'll have to borrow that sometime when I'm at the track.

LOL, I bet that set off a few sparks.
I also hate smug snotty type dudes. It's like they have no idea what it is really all about. Screw him. Nice job.

Default He deserved it though

He (the mechanic) used to hose me on parts when I got stationed here in Vegas from Germany back in 91' and I wasn't in to the mail order scene yet.
