Default Mustang

First just a hello to everyone. I am new here so I hope I am doing this right. Anyway just a quick story for my first post. Yesterday I am out cruising around in my Dart GT. It's a 69, plum crazy purple, and a big block car putting out between 475-500hp. People thought I was nuts for dropping the 440 in and said it would never hook up. But with an adjustable pinion snubber and a set of bi-ply Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro's it does everytime. Anyway I'm out cruising around, having a good time. I come to a stop light on a 4 lane road. Some kid with a '05 Mustang GT pulls along side. Not a bad looking car, I like the retro styling. It is obviously modified, and he starts bugging me, and juicing his throttle. The light turns green. He launches hard. I launch harder. I backed off at 105MPH and he was still 2 car lenghts behind. I then slowed down and let him go by. All I can say is his face was a red as his taillights. And I had ALOT left. It was just a great feeling to put a kid with a $30,000 car in his place. Nothing like winning a street race!

That'll make a good signiture quote. Good to hear about the '05 Mustang, not many stories out on that yet.

Hi, nice car! But just to comment on that Mustang, you actually should've beaten him a lot worst than what you actually did. A big block dart with that kind of horsepower has got to be close to running a 10 sec 1/4 mile, while the stock Mustang GT might be looking a 13's ( I think...). What kind of rear-end do you have?
