Cool CTD v. 72-73ISH CAMARO

I have been around real Mopars my whole life. My first car was a 72 Charger, second car (that I still have) is a 68 Sattelite awaitng patiently for me to put her back on the road. Since I now have a family, in 03 I kicked my wifes 95 Ford T-Chicken out to roost elsewhere and bought her a 03 Durango. In 05 It was my turn to buy so I bought a 05 3500 Ram with a Cummins CTD. When it only had 500 mi on it, it "lost" the muffler. With 7,000 on it, I placed a Banks Big Hoss Bundle on it. (Intercooler, Hi Ram intake, Exhaust, Hi flow filter, & 6 Gun PDA with Speed Loader. Now that your caught up...on to the story...

I was home on Military leave in July, and the wife and I went out around my old stomping grounds in Southeren Ohio and Northeren Kentucky. As I went over a bridge, I got behind a 72 or 73 Camaro that had a healthy sounding lope to it. I was behind him at a red light and he sort of eased through the light and I introduced him to the smell of diesel smoke! My wife asked if I thought I could take him from a red light and I told her that I didn't know but we're about to find out. He pulled up to my passenger side and reved up. I was a little nervous! The Light turngreen and both of our tires let out a little bark. We were even until I shifted to 3rd gear. (6 Speed) I smoked him and he would not pull back beside me! It definetley helped my ego considering my truck weighs well over 7,000 pounds! Diesels do have potential!!
