Default Dodge Dakota Project

Hey I'm looking for a dakota project. I have a smallblock that I am wanting to throw in it. I wanting to tub and ladder bar the truck eventually. I don't Really care if it has too much rust or if its dented up. But I prefer it doesn't have any of that. I prefer a 91 to 96 body style, and that it cheap. Thanks- Sean

There's a '88-'92 (I'm not sure) Dak at a chasis shop here in western Ny that was a stalled out drag project. The guy put some $ down, and they back halved it with ladders, and a Dana. Then the guy never came back. It's probably going to go without a title. Would you be interested? He could maybe get a mechanics lein.

I have 2 Dodge Dakota trucks. Both are 1988 regular bed trucks. Both are red. one has a 3.9 and currently an A998. I still have the original A500 (42RH) but it leaked 2 quarts per week and the overdrive never worked. The A998 is out and going to the transmission rebuilder tomorrow, as I did not feel driving a 2 speed automatic was very healthy for the truck.

The other truck is a Sport with an 89 Shadow 2.2 TBI common block engine and an original NP3500 5 speed. It has a new clutch, turned flywheel, new slave cylinder, and a new extention housing. I mated the 89 computer to the original 50 way bulkhead connector and have 98% of the goodies needed to finish the project, including the gas tank from a 92 Dakota (for the fuel pump), the breather box from the 92 Dakota and i have the original 2.2 carb'd engine. This is where I got the name Shakota for this truck.

I wanted to finish the "Shakota" for my son, but he is eyeing a 2 door car (BOO!) instead.

$4000.00 for all of my Dakota stuff, including a bunch of Shadow parts left over from stripping the 1989 Shadow. By the way, the Shakota has a rear that has to be rebuilt. It came from my Dakota and it currently has no brakes in stalled on the rear.

If interested give me a holler.

Blessings,
Shakota
