71 Challenger Tan Poly 383 Magnum
Back in the day, I had a 71 R/T with a 383 magnum / 727 / 3.55 / a/c / brown interior / black top, black stripes. I lived in north texas when I sold the car in 1981. If anyone has sighted one like this, please let me know.
My old car could likely be identified by the welded passenger front inner fender, from the radiator brace to the firewall, unless it's been restored and properly cleaned up. I had researched and confirmed that a '72 Chevy was not meant to be moved by my bumper at 50 mph. The Mopar took the lick, and was on the road again a month later under my amatuer hands. After it was painted, it looked great again. Tan poly is rare - it looks tan in photos but it looks light bronze in person, and gold in sunlight (there is a similar-colored tan poly/brown/ black top convert on E-bay right now, and it reminded me). It does not have to be my old car to be of interest, but I wonder if it survived. I do not have the VIN. Drive safe. |

Have you checked the on-line Challenger registries?
