Default How many of you carry a spare ECB?

I've heard of people's electronic control boxes going south and wondered how many of you carry a spare just in case your a long way from home at a show or somethng. Is there anything else electronic that one should carry for trips?

In the glove box or shoe box in the trucnk, I carry an extra Electrontic Control Unit, ECU (Not ecb) ballast resistor and coil.

If I'm going very far, a Alt. and belts, tire plugs, spark plugs if the carbs not yet dialed in right, water pump.....Can you tell I got stuck alot ?!?!?

It's Good to be Prepared. But I am wondering , Is there a "Problem" with some Brands of ECU 's ???

You get what you pay for, I've noticed that the cheapo ones often don't even run right straight out of the box.
I've never had much problems with ECU's, thankfully, never had to carry a spare.
I do carry spare ballast resistors though, it's cheap insurance.

40 year old technology should be replaced with something more reliable and provides better performance. I switched to MSD several years ago and have experienced no problems so far. I am not a purist and will use the best parts available regardless of point of origin.
