Hey NZ, do you have an old licence plate you could send me? I think it would look cool on the front of my ram. Rob

I would love to help........But
No sorry I can't because they don't belong to the owner of the Vehicle they belong to Transit New Zealand, I would though
What kind are you after? Just an everyday NZ number plate, They are just Black background with white letters/numbers and the new plates are White with black letters/numbers, each plate contains 6 Spacers only I have to personalised plates: # DBDRFT - DB Draught my favorite beer made in NZ of course. # 1970 RT - It has a gap between the zero and R The only way I could get you one is by going to a local wreckers and grabing a plate off the junk cars OR steal one I'll have a look for you but don't hold your breath, I'll call you on the Main board if or when I find something you might like Just curious, Are you allowed to show a different style of number plate, even if it is just for show? And why NZ, or do you have all different countries plates on your truck? Does it have to be a number plate? Cheers, NZ |

Hey mate, I asked my Mum, she said that you are not allowed because you can then go and use that plate on a vehicle, for law breaking reasons etc - But what I did find was some Old plates on a New Zealand version of "eBay".
In the search box enter a search for: Number Plates, and ask the seller if they would deliver to the USA, most of these guys do so it shouldn't be a problem - Also tell them that it is for show only and you obviously can't sign any papers for the change of ownership etc so you only wan't SHOW PLATES www.trademe.co.nz |

Hi Guys.
I'm a newbie to the board from Aus...looks like a good place, and a NICE bunch of cars I have a few Aussie Chryslers including a Valiant Charger R/T 6Pack. This is an early build car with a 265ci Hemi 6 engine, triple weber carbs etc. Also features the A84 Track Pack with a heap of go fast goodies including 160 litre fuel tank in the boot. Got a couple of other interesting Aussie cars but I dont want to hog the board |

Hey Snappy welcome aboard to Moparchat mate
That's one fine piece of Aussie built Mopar you have there, you Lads from Aussie have been pileing in as of late I've seen some awesome American Mopar's at Joe's Gasoline in Aus, have you seen or heard of that place? They import them in and have all kinds, 70 Cuda, 68 Charger R/T, Roadrunner. This site is good mate, if someone here can't help you with info or point you in the right direction for parts NO ONE WILL! Don't worry about hogging the board if you have something to say, say it, we all like seeing new car's and on this site you have a rare one - once again welcome aboard from New Zealand. Cheers, NZ 440R/T |

will it fit?
This is for Godzilla,
Looks like you've got an aluminum manifold of some sort, so I've got a clearence question. I've got a 72 Roadrunner 440, that I'm working on. I am the original and only owner so it was stock, stock, stock. Came with air conditioning, which I want to keep as it get's hot here in Louisiana. I've put a Edelbrock Performer, Holley Street Avenger, and the MoPar performance air cleaner on it. (engine is out of car now) I did the measuring thing and it is 1 1/2 inches taller than stock, measured from the flat area of the intake manifold gasket. Trying to figure out if I'm going to have hood clearence problems. |

Here's one of my 72 Roadrunner as she was just about to go into my garage for restoration. I bought it new and am the only owner. It has, with the exception of the wheels and the usual belts, hoses, and other consumables, every part it had when it rolled off the assembly line up in St. Louis.
Also attached a pix of where the project is now. Engine is done, with .030 over new pistons, Comp Cam and new valve train, Edelbrock Performer, Holley Street Avenger 670, and Schumacher headers. |

Sweeeeeet HOT ROD! Love the color, Is it Petty Blue?

Yeah sure is, although after 31 years it's a little faded.
The "official" color is Basin Street Blue, but anybody who ever had one called it Richard Petty Electric Blue. It has the usual dings, scratches, and all that. But very little rust. Below corners of windshield, and front end of right rocker panel, just where fender bottom fastens on. Left side didn't have a bit. Apparently when they installed the fenders they didn't leave enough clearence for water and crud to drain so it got trapped. I've just finished the motor rebuild and am working on the body now. I had it undercoated in 1978 so have to take all that off. Have the front fenders and entire front suspension off. Along with all the things that stick through the fire wall. Interior is stripped except for headliner (which I will replace) and dash, which I won't as it's nearly brand new. Lots of Armor All! All interior panels are in excellent shape, again thanks Armor All! I'm going to put new carpet in it, although original is in good shape, but after 31 years shows some wear. The driver's seat cushion is worn and cracked but all other upolstry is in great shape...Armor All again. Being retired, I have the time...thank goodness! And I have a big garage, complete with two post lift, something I really like having. (something about the cost of men's toys!) |

I did both my cars myself also. I did all the body work and the painting of the jams, engine and trunk compartments also. The actual bodys were painted at a body shop. I'm sure you will feel the same, but it sure gives me a great feeling when poeple complement on how nice they are. You will be left with a great sence of pride when it's done. It sure looks great so far. It all takes time and if your retired it will be a great passtime also. My wife is very supporting of my hobby and says it's better knowing I'm in the garage insted of setting in the bar. At least I have something to show for my money instead of a hangover.

72Roadrunner, that is one beautiful RR. I have always wanted a 71 or 72 RR. Maybe someday if I ever am able to part with my A-body!
RareTA, I know what you mean about having something to show for yourself besides a hangover. I had no idea how fast I was able to save $ once I quit hanging out at the bar! The bar owner used to be kinda nasty to me, now when I bump into him at the grocery store, he is real nice, think he misses my cash! LOL |
