Mine was a 1966 dodge polara bought from an 80 year old man sitting on his front lawn. 383 with police light. Never forget that car. Ran like a dream.

Default My first continued

Also had a dodge demon with the super powerful slant 6.
Let old room mate borrow it. Drove it to the beach which was about 30 miles away. " i dont know whats wrong. The temp gauge is all he way on hot"
Found out he drove 30 miles with NO water in radiator at all. Empty.
Thing ran with no problems for 5 years after that until floors rotted out. Slant had no horsepower but was indestructible.
God bless America!

Default First MOPAR

My first MOPAR was a 1962 Dodge truck, 225 Slant Six, 3spd. manual on the column, and a 4.56 posi traction rear. The old girl would burn 'em in all 3 gears!!! I've always been a MOPAR Maniac because my dad was a MOPAR mechanic at a Chrysler dealership from age 15 until he passed away @ 50. That was almost 39 years ago. I grew up with 'em and I'll always love 'em!

Mine was 1956 Dodge Crusader but I never drove it on the street, I hate to mention this but I used it in a demo derby.....The first Mopar I legally drove was a 1968 Plymouth Fury 111......what a boat it was......

Mine was a new '93 Dodge Daytona IROC model with the 3.0 Mitsubishi engine and 5-speed manual, black with gray guts, devoid of cheezy IROC graphics and had the LeBaron wheels (unpublished special order at no extra charge). THEN,
I bought a '69 Barracuda FB with 318, sold it, and am now building a '67 Barracuda FB Formula S with 273/Auto. Yes, I know, the Barracudas are much cooler than the K-Car platform Daytona that was my first. Mopar to ya'll!

My first Mopar was a drag race 77 Aspen R/T that my buddy put a 71 magnum charger drivetrain into for the strip, He told me the motor was blown up and sold it to me for 300 bucks, not being a Mopar guy at the time I figured I could part it out and make a few bucks. I thought to myself If it will run then maybe I could rebuild it and make more money. It fired up but with a rod knock, I got hooked on it because it had more nuts with a rod knock than anything I had drived before. I rebuilt it and thought it was a better made set up than the GM stuff! I sold my 67 Pontiac Tempest and have been Mopar ever since 85.

Let me know if you guys figure out how to find one of your lost rides. I've been looking for a 74 RR myself in the Steubenville, Ohio area. I still have the bill of sale also. Thanks, Bob

My first mopar was a 1972 Dodge Charger SE. 318 2bbl, high back bench seats, concealed headlights and floor console. Loved that car. I've owned 5 or 6 various mopars ever since and always will.

My first was a 65 coronet 500 2 door with a poly head 318. My buddies had a 69 Barracuda w/318 fastback and another had a 69 coupe. My stepDad had a 66 Coronet 500 2 door that will be getting a facelift soon. I liked Mopars because they weren't Chevys. Most Mopar and Ford guys got along just fine...Chevy guys acted like buttholes. This isnt all-encompassing but rule-of-thumb. If you are a Chevy guy and open -minded.....God bless you!

Mine was a brand new yellow/black striped 1974 Plymouth Duster 360/727 combo purchased from Paddock Chrysler in Florissant, MO in Sept of 1974. I was 18yrs old and had a full time job so I was able to make the payments of around $125/month for 24 months. I was pretty proud of that car but back in those days I kept them for 2-3 yrs then moved on to another muscler car.

After the Duster it was a 1973 Dart Sport 340, 1969 Camaro SS, 71 Buick GS 455, 1972 Dodge Demon 340 and so on.........

Default My first Mopar

My first Mopar is my current car. It's always been my dream to own a nice Mopar, but things just never worked out right. I have had a 1966 Chevy Nova II and still have a '65 Olds Cutlass F-85.

Default How I got hooked

My first Mopar was a 55 Plymouth Flathead 6, no good in the summer since it vapor locked evrytime you came to a stop light. The one that hooked me was my dad's 61 Plymouth wagon with the 383 Golden Commando and a PB 727. This car was loaded from the factory with everything, front and rear AC, 9 passenger, square wheel, power seats and etc. My brother and I would drive this car into the city and cruise around street racing or I should say stop light racing. We would pull up next to someone that looked promising, stop, put it in neutral and wait for the light to go green, then I would tromp it to the floor and put it in low at the same time. Needless to say the accleration seemed incredible at the time, screeching rubber and tire smoke. We had to stop doing this though because it would throw the 2 AC belts every time and sometimes break them. I didn't have the money to replace them (he had done this himself a couple of times) and the old man only fell for my story about not knowing what happened once. Any way that has led to my love and continued ownership of classic mopar muscle cars.
