non-lock-up torque converter
I bought a 727 trans out of a dodge van, 400 engine. My son-in-law got me a new B&M torque converter (non-lock-up). How can I tell if the trans is a "lock-up" or non-lock? I'm mounting it behind a built 440 in my '73 Charger. Help!

Non-lockup = input shaft has splines all the way to the end.
Lockup = input shaft end is smooth about 1/2 to 3/4" in. Also there should be an additional electrical wire connection on the transmission case. One is for the lockup function and the other is for the neutral safety switch. HV |

lock-up
Thanks Hemivaliant, that sounds easy enough. I have to go to my daughter's house to check it out.(that's where my charger is)
