Largest wheels and tires for 69 GTX?
New member with first post here. I want to put 15" tires on my 69 GTX. I'm considering putting smaller tires up front and larger tires in the rear. I'm thinking a 15x6 or 15x7 rim on the front and a 15x8 on the rear. I have no idea on the tire size to use. Does anyone know of an online source for information on what are the largest 15" tires that will fit? I don't want to tub the car or cut the fenders or relocate the rear springs. I will probably do a slight lift in the rear using air shocks. I'm open to suggestions but I don't want to go to larger rims than 15" dia. I just don't care for the look of the newer, larger rims. I'm a little too old school for that. Your ideas please. Pictures would be great also. Thanks!

275/60 15's for the rear with 8 inch wheels. I agree with you about not wanting to go larger than a 15 inch wheel. I hate the look of those huge wheels on anything.
