Tire Talk from Car Talk
In case you missed the latest from the Click and Clack brothers of Car Talk;
They answered questions from a Prius owner who was told the only place he could get the proper 'low resistance' tires for his car was the dealer. And, simply, that ain't true no more. They said tests were done and the info is available at: http://www.tirerack.com/ There are a number of tires that give better performance than the original factory installed rubber. In the search box, enter: "When Round and Black Becomes Lean and Green." |

That would be a good post for you to make on your Toyota board.

You mentioned Prius, not Mopar.

And they usually have smoke coming from them.

No, I cited an article in which a Prius was the subject.
I figured, with all the MOPAR rubber burning around here.... Y'all needed tires that lasted longer. |

Again, your intro involved a Toyota. Good thing Stoga isn't here.

Somehow I can't see too many of our vintage Mopar muscle cars rolling on "green" or "low resistance" tires! They don't even make them in 15" that I know of.

I wonder if the tires they make for antique cars are radials? All they have to do is look stock.
