Then you got the gaskets and seals in the carb. Hard to say how they will respond to acetone. Also, the carb may gunk up if the acetone dissolves any old varnish or buildup, but I'm only speculating. Think I'll pass on the ol' acetone in the gas tank trick (in my case my gas tank is a plastic fuel cell as well). Don't need any new headaches.
