Default Another Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda Night For Mightymouse

Had a full field of Late Models at DRIR(Duck River International Raceway). The pole was 13.305---Jeff ran a 13.308---Close but not close enough.

Anyway, he took the lead in the feature---- but cut a RR tire down, and his night was over. The car was good, engine strong but I guess he had weak tires.

Maybe his luck will get better next week.

Drir ???

Has "the Duck" gone International? (Maybe that's why they're planning on tearing down the current seating and putting in new grand stands next year?) Missed the races last night, spent the evening with Mrs. Dyno. If the cars were turning in the low 13's the track must have been in pretty good condition, at least during qualifying. With all the heat that we have had, I would have thought the track would have been hard and dusty. Congratulations on your strong run. There are so many ways to lose a race, but "your time's coming".

"DRIR" was just a little rib. Its' just the same ole Duck River.

The track was OK---but nothing special last night. I've seen it definitely tackier. I think the top four qualifiers were all within 13.30-13.40 sec.

I was a little surprised last night, the stands were full---with the Chapel Hill Tractor Pull just up the road last night---they probably had 10,000 there. And had a good field of cars last night, even with the heat and even with Ray Cook's road show coming Monday through Friday next week.

Jeff was quick. Could he have won? Who knows! But he would have been "in the hunt". What is disturbing is he went for a couple of years without cutting a tire, now he has had two in two weeks---both when up front. Expensive tires?

Ya better knock on some wood, as I would hate to hear you cut some more tires down this weekend!

I don't know if a tractor pull would have a big effect on a stock car crowd, but the fact that Winchester was not running on the 23rd, would have helped. I plan on going to the Southern National (Ray Cook) event at Winchester Monday.

I don't think that Jeff is planning to race at Winchester(Monday), nor Baxter(Tuesday) but will probably race at Crossville next Friday.
