Retired...

As of the first of April, I am now fully retired.

I sold off the lion's share of my main business, and completely sold off the two secondary businesses.

Still hold an interest in the door business, but no longer participate in the daily operations. Last year when I sold off the controlling interests part of the agreement was that I stay on for one year in an advisory capacity, and as a liaison between the new owners and the existing customers. Many have been customers for 20 years or so, and we've developed personal relationships.

That year ended on April first. So, now I'm "retired".

Joyce retired last May. During that time we've made a number of changes in our lives, too.

We've sold the houses in N.J., the property (101 acres) in W.V., gifted 6 acres of property in Naples Florida to our kids, and I've leased my two Ram Diesel trucks to the company.

In turn we've purchased a Condo, also in Naples, and a small "villa" in Tuscany, Italy. I also purchased a commercial building (8 bays) in the Naples area, that I can divided into two areas, one 2 bay section for my wood working, and a six bay section for my "garage/shop".

I still have the 71 Swinger, and couple of trucks, and a van, and Joyce recently purchased a Rav 4 for herself.

The idea is to bring one of the trucks, the van, and the Swinger to Florida, and leave one truck and the Rav4 here in Georgia.

I'm done with business, the garage/shop building is strictly for "puttering" as Joyce calls it.

Retired for about a week, and I've already noticed I yawn more, now.
